Bad News
Jerel McNeal was cut by the Los Angeles Clippers yesterday. After only appearing in two preseason games, McNeal's stint with the Clippers is over. McNeal will have to hope another NBA team wants him, if not, his other options are the NBA D-League or playing in Europe.

Marquette Madness 2009
Last Friday night, I went down to Marquette for the annual Marquette Madness event to introduce their men's and women's basketball teams. While I was there, I took some videos of the Slam Dunk contest. Contestants were: Erik Williams Fr., Dwight Buycks Jr., Youssoupha Mbao Fr., Joe Fulce Jr., and Lazar Hayward Sr.
Videos will be posted at a later time.

Wesley Matthews Jr.
Wes Matthews has been making the most of his NBA opportunity with the Utah Jazz in the NBA offseason. Matthews, still number 23, has played in all five preseason games so far and has started in three of their games. He is averaging 21min, 1reb, 1ast, and 8.2pts per game. Wesley is a forgone conclusion to make the Jazz roster.
Jerel McNeal
Jerel McNeal, probably the more NBA ready of the Marquette trio, has been playing in the NBA Preseason with the L.A. Clippers. McNeal is a long shot to make the team, but he has gotten a chance to play with 7pts, 2reb, 1ast, and 2pf in two games. McNeal's number for Los Angeles is 2, which differs from his number 22 with the Golden Eagles.
